 *Children museum- Museo dei Ragazzi   Piazza della Signoria 1.

    In the museum there are exhibitions, games, interactive workshops, clothes from the 15th century, Galileo's

    research, possibility to wander in the secret corridors, studying techniques of drawing, and more. It's possible  

    to join to a guided tour.

    Hours: Monday-Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 9.00-19.00, Thursday and Sunday 9.00-14.00.

                   Middle June-September open untill 23.00.

    Workshops open Saturday and Sunday by order in advance tel. 055-2768224.

 

  *Museo di Storia della Scienza-History of science museum near Galleria degli Uffizi.                       

 At Piazza dei Giudici 1. In the museum there is among others a room

 dedicated  to Galileo.

 Hours: June 1st-September 30th  Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday,  9.30-17.00,  Saturday, Tuesday 9.30-13.00.

 October 1st-May 31st Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday  9.30- 17.00,  

 Tuesday 9.00-13.00 Sunday 10.00-13.00.

  *Museo del Cere- Wax Museum  Piazza Santa 12.

    In the museum there are figures from the renaissance period made of wax.

    Hours: every day 10.00-19.00.

 

  *Sailing on the Arno- It's possible to rent oaring boat Ponte San niccolo , Via Giraldi 1.

    Hours: March-December  Tuesday-Sunday 13.00-20.00

 

  *Parco Territoriale di Monte Morello   Observes on the city from the north.  It's possible to walk in the paths, 

    to rest or to play.

 

  *Giardino Di Boboli

  Behind the palace situated Giardino Di Boboli- They were created in 1550. The garden is terraced, full of vegetation,

 trees, pools, fountains, caves, hidden sculptures, a lake in which fish and ducks.

 In the top of the hill is situated Porte di Balvedere- a fortress that destined to

 defend the city in time of blockade.

 From this place there is a spectacular observation on Firenze and the

 surroundings. It's possible to do a picnic on the grass.

 Next to the fortress, inside a little booth from the 17th century, situated the Museo

 delle Porcellane in which a display of porcelain items from the 18th and 19th

 centuries .

 Hours: June-August 8.15- 19.30.

 (gardens and museum).

            September, October, April, May 8.15-18.30.

            October (when moving back to winter time) 8.15- 15.30.

            November-February 8.15- 16.30.

            Closed on the last Monday of the month.

            Entrance until 1 hour before the shutdown.

   *Museo Zoologico - La Specola - Near Palazo Pitti at Via Romana 17. In the museum of a big interesting
