2nd day
Start the day at Piazzala Rome. Exit the square toward Via Calle de Ca'amai. Walk in the street that changes to Calle de le Chiovere. Walk until you arrive to the building of the Scula di San Rocco- A renaissance style building with marble columns, arcs, carvings. There are in it over 50 creations of Tintoretto. Hours: April 1st-October 31st Monday-Saturday 7.30-12.30 15.00-17.00. Sunday 8.00-12.30 15.00-17.00. November 1st-March 31st Monday-Saturday 7.30-12.30 Sunday 8.00-12.30 14.00-16.00.
A huge church for art lovers. Was built during more then 60 years in the 13th and 14th centuries in a Gothic style. In the Basilica there are creations of Titian, Bellini and more. There are also in the church graves, among other of Titian, Canova-a sculptor, Pesaro. Hours: Monday-Saturday 9.00-18.00. Sunday 13.00 18.00. Entrance by payment.
From here go to Gallerie dell'Accademia. 2 possibilities: * By foot: Exit the Basilica toward Via Calle Larga until Via Soto e Calle Gaspere Gozzi and turn right. Continue in the street and cross the canal on Ponte Donna and continue in Via Calle dei Donna. Continue in Via Calle Larga Foscari. Cross the canal on Ponte Foscari. In the left side see the university of Venezia. Continue straight in Via Calle dei Capreller, turn right in Via Calle de Fabro, continue until the end and turn left in Via Calle de Botegha. Cross Ponte Bern Aba and continue in Via Soto del Casin de Nobili. Cross the canal on Ponte Lombardo, continue in Via Calle Sacca Toletta. Cross the canal on Ponte de le Maravegie. After the bridge turn left, go until the end and turn right in Ponte de le Maravegie and continue in Via Cale Gambara until you arrive to the museum.
* A water bus- Vaporetto- Exit the Basilica toward Calle Larga, go until Campo San Toma. Go down to Campo San Toma dock, and get on Vaporetto no. 1 or 82. Sail 2 stops and get off in Accademia station. Gallerie dell'Accademia- In the museum an important collection of the venetian art creations in the 14th-18th centuries. There are creations of Bellini, Titian, Giorgione and more. Hours: Tuesday-Sunday 8.15-19.15. Monday 8.15-14.00.
Exit the museum toward Via Calle Nuova San Agnese, the street changes to Via Pisc del Forner, cross Ponte San Vio. Continue in Via Calle de Cheisa until you arrive to the museum
collector- Palazzo Venier dei Leonu that is situated on the bank of the Canal Grande. In the collection paintings and sculptures from the 20th century of artists like Picasso, Miró, Kandinsky, Chagall and more. Hours: Wednesday-Monday 10.00-18.00. Tuesday closed.

In the second part of the day sail to the Islands. Go back toward Gallerie dell'Accademia until Via Rio Tera Antonio Foacarini, turn left and walk to the canal. Turn right until Zattere dock. get on a water-bus vaporetto
off the boat at Piazza Alla Colonna. Turn right and then left and arrive to the main street of the Island. In the street situated a lot of glass products shops. Walk according to the signs to the glass museum Museo d'arte Vetraria that situated at Fondamenta Giustinian 8. In the museum a spectacular collection of glass tools from the Roman period until today. Hours: April 1st-October 31st Thursday-Tuesday 10.00-18.00. November 1st-March 31st Thursday-Tuesday 10.00-17.00. Tickets are sold until 1 hour before closing. Wednesday closed.
It's possible to go to one of the factories and to see how they produce the glass merchandise.
If time remains it's possible to go to Basilica dei Santi Maria e Donato- was built the 7th century and was renovated in the 12th century. The mosaic in the dome is an art creation in a Byzantine style. Situated in Fondamenta Giustinian. Hours: 9.00-12.00, 15.30-19.00.
Go back to the dock and again get on the water-bus vaporetto no. 52, and sail about 30 minutes to Burano Island. This is a fishermen Island which it's houses are colorful and known of the lace-work that produced in it. In the main street there are many lace shop. It is very pleasant to stroll in the alleyways. In the Island situated the Scuola di Merletti di Burano museum. The museum is situated in the center of the island at Piazza Baldassare Galuppi. In the museum are exhibited lace works for tables, bedroom, living room, shirts and more. In the second floor it's possible to see young women that are busy with lace work. It's possible to buy lace items. Hours: April 1st- October 31st. 10.00-17.00. November 1st.- March 31st. 10.00-16.00. Entrance by payment.
It's possible to enter to Chiesa di San Martino- a church from the 16th century in which situated Tiepolo's creation "the crucifixion". The campanile is leaning and it looks like it is going to fall any moment.
